Notes:
Educated at the Royal (Lancaster) Grammar School. Alexander was of Ampertain House, Upperlands, County Derry, Northern Ireland. Alexander was DL, JP and High Sheriff in 1922. He was Chairman of Wm Clark & Sons Ltd from 1913-37, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Ulster Bank Ltd, Belfast.
