Father: Thomas Mudd, a farmer. This is possibly the same Thomas Mudd who was father of Emma Mudd who married Martha Baker's cousin, Daniel Charles Baker, in Woolpit in 1862.

Married: Martha Eliza Baker on 6 August 1852, in Combs, Suffolk. The marriage was witnessed by Edmd Baker and Eleanor Susannah Mudd. William is recorded as a bachelor of full age, a farmer of Ringshall, the son of Thomas Mudd, a farmer. Eliza is recorded as a spinster, of full age, of Combs, the daughter of Edmund Baker, a farmer.

Occupation: Farmer. In 1861 William is listed as farming 55 acres in Wattisham. By 1871 he is farming 85 acres in Elmsett and in 1881 he is farming 185 acres in Great Finborough.
